Ellie Love

Hello folks.  We have another challenge at One Stitch At A Time so how about popping over to see all the fabulous creations by the design team.

Challenge #184

Theme 'Use A Digi'

The Prize is the full set of digi images that the DT used in challenge #182, so that's about $20 worth of digi images.. To win our main prize you MUST use an image that's available in StitchyBear Digi Outlet by any of our creators.  You can still enter with a none StitchyBear Digi Outlet image but will be entered into a separate draw to win $3 to spend in our store.

It was Tammylee's turn to pick for our group this week and she chose the cute digi 'Elmer The Love Struck Elephant' by Floppy Latte Designs.  With a digi like this I can't see what type of card to make other than a Valentine one lol

Where do I start - yes I am out of my comfort zone again, well a grey elephant and a red and white colour scheme would work, lots of hearts and lots of white space.  Now I am far from a poet but the white space just didn't work, I didn't want more patterns or dies which only left me to try out my creative writing skills (maybe not such a good idea but at least original!!!).  The elephant digi is attached to the card with a wobble - oh what fun.

  • Red Hammer card from Craft Creations
  • Digi - 'Elmer The Love Struck Elephant' by Floppy Latte Designs
  • Dies - Cherry Lyn Heart to Heart Doily
  • Embossilicious embossing folder 6x6
  • Heart Mulberry paper, ribbon, gem and wobble from my stash
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:-

  1. Ooohh, ahhhh, Mrs ... Promises, promises ... I'm sure your loved one will have a 'Thril'l when he receives this adorable Valentine Card. What a cute elephant - just look at that expression on his face - wonder if he's 'wobbled' himself dizzy. I love all the shimmery red die cuts, 'Love' ribbon and heart paper. Well, aren't you the one for suprises -- a Poet no less. Maybe not quite Poet Lauraete material yet but a great effort which is a lot of fun so a BIG well done to you. Love you xxx

  2. I think your verse is perfect for a Valentine and a bit of good fun. I love your wobbly elephant too with that gorgeous corner. Hazel x

  3. Wonderful use of a wobble for this whimsy elephant. The red color complements the theme wonderfully. Like the finished inside also. Reminds me of the Ft Worth Zoo trip I enjoyed recently and saw the 2 new baby elephants, Belle & Bowie.

  18. There is nothing more honest than sharing your love and being able to express it to others. I love your cute little poem and that elephant looks great. Your layout is really neat too and I really like the heart doilies. It was so nice to come over and see another of your projects. My first time of course was as your teammate on the Ike's World Challenges DT (team A). And I noticed while skimming through the entries for the next challenge that you entered your IWC entry into our Hope challenge as well!

Thank you so much for joining this month on the Path of Positivity. I'm so glad that you found my challenge blog and I look forward to seeing more of your beautiful creations in the future.
