Ribbon or Twine

Come and join us at I ❤️Promarkers, our challenge theme is

 'Ribbon or Twine'

and the sponsor for this challenge is Bugaboo Stamps with $12 gift code for the Store

Sometimes you just need a simple card at hand with no sentiment and this is exactly where this card I have made will fit into my 'go to' collection :)   I used the super cute image Puppy Love - Heart String then went to town with the 'string or twine theme' hahaha.  Once the image was coloured with Promarkers I hunted out some orange twine and added it to the digi to create the hanging for the wee heart.  I then cut some more to the twine and added it to the top right to make the diagonal stripes.  The card looked pretty naked so I used some sticky back orange felt and cut the heart shape buttons finishing off with a few orange gems - it is certainly a very tactile card and hopefully will give the recipient a happy smile :)

Challenge #105
Shaped Card

This fortnights challenge 'Shaped Card' has been chosen by CG.

Shaped cards are something is so rarely do mainly because of finding envelopes lol so this was a nice change to entertain me one afternoon.  I did have to hunt the Internet for ideas and when I saw this one I just loved the look of the card when opened up.  I used some gelli printed paper I made for the design paper and embossed matt gold paper to mount it on.  The card is made from navy cardstock.  The butterfly is a Spellbinder embossing die I have had for so many years and was just perfect for the design element for this card.  I stamped the sentiment with Memento Ink and then heat embossed as the gold paper I stamped on has a finish that stopped the ink from drying fully.

Add a Number

 'Add a Number'

Prize for this challenge is this awesome goodie pack :)

Oh the choices lol with an 'any artist' to use an digi from.  I have thousands collected over the years so where do I start.  One of the very first digital design artist I bought from was Digi Darla, it was just a few dollars a month and they sent you about 20 digi images which when first setting out on the card making journey was awesome.  It was a mother and daughter team that used to do the drawing but I don't think they exist any more which is such a shame :)  I coloured the dinosaur scene with Promarkers and then finished off the dinosaur with some 3D element stuff.  The backing paper was a freebie ages ago with a magazine and for once I sorted the backing paper before colouring so tried to match up the colours as best I could.  I also cut the sentiments out of the backing paper.

Challenge #104
Bunny

This fortnights challenge 'Bunny' has been chosen by CraftyGirl.  I needed a note card so thought I would colour this gorgeous rabbit which is a free colouring page digitally and now I am able to print this out and add to my card base to create a quick but pretty physical card when I need it.  Although I normally use Photoshop for digital work hubby just downloaded Procreate which this was created with.  Simple basic colouring, nothing challenging but just the project I needed for a quite day in my chair lol.

Use Pretty Papers

Come and join us at I ❤️Promarkers, our challenge theme is

 'Use Pretty Papers'

This was a real challenge for me - I have several drawers with patterned paper which I have collected over the years and hardly ever use it.  Thankfully I am learning and have not bought any for at least the last 3 years hahaha.  The papers used for this card must be about 16 years old but the digi colouring is new :).  Image used is Dandelion by Colour of Love and I coloured the image with Promarkers.  To finish off I stencilled a bit of yellow onto the background to break up the white, added stickles to the dress, wings and dandelion seeds and finally some flat back ceramic gems to a couple of corners.

and the sponsor for this challenge is Colour of Love with a 3 digital images of the winners choice.

Anything Goes with an option of Monochrome

 IKEsWORLD

Challenge 142
Anything Goes with an option of Monochrome

Welcome back to the IKEsWORLD challenges :)  do pop on over to IKEsWORLD to join in the challenge, it is always so much fun and  Ike produces the most amazing stamps, everything from off the wall to cute and fluffy :) :) :)

You know when you have a day that seems to come to a standstill, you can't get on with the things you were doing for one reason or another - well that is me today.  My craftroom is upside down, no space, I have things waiting for glues to dry and can't move them.  We have also stripped out our dining room waiting for the joiner to come which was meant to be today but is now tomorrow (I hope) so not only work space in the craft room taken up but so is half the floor.  I am at a standstill but Ike came to the rescue lol - instead of wasting time I decided to make this card all from my chair without having to move as it is all digital.  The background paper is from a gelli print I made, one of a batch of about 30 or 40 using up printer paper which had my daughters degree assignments on.  I loved the papers I made I decided to scan them all with the idea that I could use them for digital cards.  Oh how I love it when a plan comes together.  In my happy place too as I just love a monochrome challenge, a total favourite.  Although I normally head for purples or blues I pushed the boat out with this one and used green ROFL.  The image is "Wren' by IKEsART and the software used to create this card is Photoshop.
