SheepSki Designs

The challenge this fortnight at I ❤️Promarkers is
 'Colour Inspiration'
and the sponsor for this challenge is  SheepSki Designs  with a prize of 3 digital images from the Sheepski Designs store.

Colour Inspiration used

Oh I had so much fun with this challenge, a great favourite of mine to have the theme 'Colour Inspiration' and such great colours to work with here too.  My creation is a little bit tongue in cheek lol, I don't really enjoy making Christmas cards but this fabulous image by SheepSki Designs called 'Rudolf's Selfie' is just so much fun I could not resist choosing him to work with.  Don't you think he has worked so well for this alternate Christmas colour card with his green hat and chilly turquoise nose lol.

Image coloured with Promarkers with the addition of some Pearl White and White Sparkle embossing powders.  Sentiment was printed digitally and then the layer embossed with the Christmas Tree embossing folder.

Challenge #88
Christmas Card - carol or song

This fortnights challenge 'Christmas Card - carol or song' has been chosen by Christine.  A fun alternative Christmas card using the song 'All I Want For Christmas Is You' as the basis.

Lots of designing going on here which kept me quiet for a wee while.  I used SCAL (Sure Cuts Alot software) to design the heart cutout background and heart layers.  The text for the foiling was also designed in SCAL.  I then hot foiled the text and die cut the white heart, then the rest of the die cutting was done.  All that was left to do was assemble the card and add a heart brad.  Had a lovely time making this card and a nice break from the colouring I usually do too.

Link to song - All I Want For Christmas Is Your sung by Mariah Carey if you want to listen.

    Simply Santa

The challenge this fortnight at I ❤️Promarkers is
     'Christmas in July'
and the sponsor for this challenge is Dr Digi's House of Stamps with a prize of 2 digital images of the winners choice.

For my design creation I have used the Dr. Digi's House of Stamps Simply Santa image.  It seems so strange making Christmas cards just now, just not in the mood for them lol.  Anyway, I had great fun colouring this image, a really cool looking Santa and I love the sentiment I have used with him too.
After colouring with Promarkers I sprayed the image layer with glitter spray, ooooo, such a cool sparkle.  I then added the 3 red brads, mounted the layer on black and then attached to my prepared card base.

    Snowman in July

    Challenge 134
S is for Show Christmas in July

Welcome back to the IKEsWORLD challenges :)  do pop on over to IKEsWORLD to join in the challenge, it is always so much fun and  Ike produces the most amazing stamps, everything from off the wall to cute and fluffy :) :) :)

You know when you get one of the those days when you just want to craft something, have a good idea in your head, have the items needed to create it and just want to have fun - this card was one of those lol.  I used the IKEsART Snowman digi (two copies) and for the second one I mirror reversed the image and made him smaller then printed.  In this case I also printed a second one on cheap printer paper so I had it ready for creating my mask.  Masking the image I then used Distress Inks to create the first stage of the background.  Next I coloured the images with Copics and added gold ink pen for the buttons etc. and Stickles to give a textured look on the hats.  Once all this was dry and masked the image again and stamped the greenery, trees, fence and sentiment.  Still keeping the mask in place I then sprayed the card with Crafters Companion silver glitter spray.  Again waiting for things to dry - I have such trouble with the waiting lol - I filled my time by using Distress Oxides to colour my card base and made my wee tag label, the scanner has not really picked up the text but it says, 'There's Snowbody Like You".  With everything dry I mounted the image layer and tag layer on gold card and then fixed to my card base.
    Ingredients:-
    • image - Snowman by IKEsART
    • colouring medium - Copics, Distress Inks
    • other items - glitter spray, gold card, acrylic stamps for background and sentiment

    Atom with Alcohol

    Challenge #87
    Tiny Things

This fortnights challenge 'Tiny Things' has been chosen by CG.  Oh boy, months of thought for this challenge since I first saw the theme.  Could I think of what to do, well I could but most of the end products would have ended up in the bin as I would have no use for them and I so hate waste of both time and products.  I have thought of mini models, etching a tiny wooden book, embellishments, mini cards, baby card etc. and hubby's idea of card with bumble bee on it - nothing really grabbed me.  Then this morning an idea, a bit of a twist on the theme but an 'atom'.  A multi purpose card with black vinyl die cut atom placed on alcohol ink background.  Apart from having so much fun with this card in the end, so much I ended up making two. A handy card to have ready for many occasions so I am a happy bunny it is not a bin project :) :) :)

    The Old Post Box

Must have felt like going very British today ROFL. You have to love our wonderful post boxes and so good to see they are one of the few things that have not changed since my childhood. It still makes me smile seeing the old post box in the village where my Mum lived, still there, still doing the same old job. So many different memories come flooding back when we drive past it of walks to the harbour with my parents, nipping up to the village on my Chopper bike to get some sweets, posting Mum's letters for her in latter years as she was a great letter writer. Oh boy, so many memories. For this card I used the digi Post Box which you can find here www.doctor-digi.com/post-box. Coloured with Copics, stencilled Union Jack and then stamped stamps and text on the base layer which was also heat embossed as I love a bit of texture on my cards.
