Zip It!!!! - Ike's World Blog Hop

Time for another challenge over at

Blog Hop

This time we have something a little different. IKE'sWORLD has just released some fabulous new digis in the store and to show you the stunning creations the DT have been allowed to showcase them in this weeks blog hop.  The whole team is participating this week so be sure to stop by their blogs and join in the fun.

Ike is offering one of the new images to people who Hop all the way round leaving comments on every DT post AND commenting back at Ike's World Challenge to say you have done so.

This Hop will run throughout this week, so you have plenty of time to enter. Make your way round and back to Ike's World Challenge by Midnight on Sunday 2nd FEBRUARY 2014, and then we will do a random pick from those of you who completed the Hop and let you know the Winner at our next Challenge post, which will be on Tuesday 4th FEB.

Here is a quick look at all the images being showcased today - they are simply stunning

I have never done a blog hop before so this is rather exciting for me :) :) :) I have used a way out digi called Zip It, this digi just jumped out at me as so often I speak before thinking and really should learn to zip my mouth shut hahahahahaha

I embossed black paper with a leaf design but alas it is not showing well in the photo.  I then coloured the hair on the digi digitally and printed two copies as I needed a bit of it for the zip top.  The face and eyes were coloured with Promarkers along with the tag and zips.  This card shouted it wanted real zips on it, not an easy challenge finding them though.  We only have one shop on camp and alas no zips in it but we do have a tailor of sorts and he had a long white zip I could buy.  Good old Promarkers to the rescue and the white zip was coloured with cyan to match the card and then attached to the backing embossed paper with my trusty glue gun.  I embossed the top of the zip pull with Antique Gold embossing powder and attached it with foam tape and added the sentiment tag so it would look like one of those funky zip pull which I seem to remember were around at one point in time (sure I had one on my anorak, a quilted red one if I remember correctly!!!!).  To finish off I used some peel off stickers which were also coloured with the cyan Promarker, after all, got to be nice when you are telling somebody they spoke out of turn, at least you do if you want to remain friends hahahahahahaha.  With the design having a real 70's feel I added some 70's looking flowers, again coloured with my Promarkers and added a cyan brad to the centre of each.

Now for the Blog Hop
You are here with Jane, you should have reached me from Samara's blog and Shelly is next
Good luck everybody and don't forget to return to  Ike's World Challenge to say you have visited all the DT blogs and left them some love :) :) :)

I am entering this project into the following challenges:-

  17. Wowsers Jane, what an awesome card .....oh that we could let someone know that they've overstepped boundaries with the levity and love that you have shown here. The colours are stunning and I just love that you have removed that Promarker from your mouth long enough to make the zip extra perfect feature of this card.
Oh and yes, you used to have a red anorak as a little girl so memory serves you well Treasure. All my love xxx ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
