OSAAT - Ellie Cat

Hello folks.  We have another challenge at One Stitch At A Time so how about popping over to see all the fabulous creations by the design team.

We have some changes going on with the way we run the challenge, we are now going fortnightly with a prize for the random winner and badge for the Top 3 chosen by the DT.

Challenge #225

Theme 'Anything Goes with Lace'

The sponsor is StitchyBear Digital Outlet with a 5 image November prize pack. Remember if you use one of the store items you can enter as many times as you want <g>.

This week I am working with an image by Hope Jacare called Ellie Cat

My sister loves cats (as I do) so I thought I would make her a wee gift along with her birthday card.  Using lace, as this is a 'Lace' challenge I first covered a tissue box with cream vinyl then applied the same lace as I am using for the card where I had used a cream base.

Next I coloured the image with Spectrum Noir blendable crayons and outlined the swirl areas with a gold pen.  This was then framed with the Tattered Lace Oval die
SN crayons used.
Flowers, I need flowers and time to experiment.  I cut strips of the lace into long ribbons.  Each of these was then spiralled onto the small circles I had cut and a green button applied to the centre of each.
There we go, not done this before but it seems to be a great way to make lace flowers.
The Cottage Cuts leafy branch die was used for the leaves and Liquid Pearls in gold and green were added to the oval frame die.
To finish off the box, again the leaf die and a couple of flowers.
And here we have the finished gift.

Ingredients :-
  • Digi - Ellie Cat by Hope Jacare and available from the StitchyBear Digital Outlet
  • Spectrum Noir blendable crayons
  • Die - Cottage Cuts leafy branch
  • Lace, buttons and ribbon from my stash
I am entering this creation in the following challenges:-

Thanks for looking and hope you have a happy crafting day:)
