Help Me!!!!!

Time for another challenge over at

Challenge 25
Happy Halloween

Welcome back to the IKEsWORLD challenges :)  do pop on over to IKEsWORLD to join in the challenge, just remember, you must use and IKEsART image to be eligible for the prize.  Why not pop on over to the store too :), Ike produces the most amazing stamps, everything from off the wall to cute and fluffy :) :) :)

This was a really hard challenge for me, no matter how hard I try to do dark cards my head gets all muffly and the end result never seems dark.  Mind you I don't like horror movies or even vampire or zombie series (even if they are the comical ones, I just don't get it <g>).  I used to watch horror movies until, funnily enough, my first kid was born and then NNNNnnnnoooooo they were not on my agenda any more.  I tend to fall asleep half way through and then, as I don't know the end of the story, make the rest of it up when I go to bed to sleep and dream land.  My sleep is more important that waking up with palpitations hahahaha.  I do seem to recall a few of the old classics, 'I Don't Want To Be Born', 'Carrie' - oh that flipping hand coming out the ground still sends shivers down my spine, 'The Amityville Horror' and a few others.  Well I guess I sort of based this card on what I remember from these films, blood down the walls from Carrie, when the prom hall wall start pouring blood out was a good starting point hahahaha.

Right there you have my thinking about this creation, now to find the digis to make it work. I opted for two, YAY!!! and  one of the images from the World Tour Series - Greece  pack

To begin with I used a sunset scene and added some bats.  Next I placed the YAY!!! digi (poor wee soul being used like this) and finally the top layer of the Greek house.

Next, just to recover from the image in my head I started on the base layer of the card.  Using orange card which I embossed it with a brick wall embossing folder.
Back to the digis which were coloured with Promarkers
 Promarkers used
Now I must have really been in shock because I have forgotten to take a bunch of pics at this point of what I did grrrrrr.  For the translucent blood effect I used 3D accents and then coloured over when dry with a red Promarker.  Pretty cool with the blood dripping down the window, cobwebs and coming out the spiders mouth hahahaha.  Next I used something I have had for ages and never used, can't even remember what it is called.  It is the plastic stranded stuff that you iron and it turns into a solid form.  Probably not used it as I only own a travel iron and it probably gets used twice a year :)  Anyway, this was used for the cobwebs.  Now for something nice, a bit of quilling, not done any of this for ages either.  Rather like how the spider turned out with his wiggly eyes.
Looking at the card it did not seem to make much sense so a bit of text was needed to bring it all together.  I cut the text in vinyl with my electronic die cutter.
Done and dusted - hope I don't give you nightmares :)

  16. I'm so glad i looked at this in the daytime! It would give me scary dreams, it reminds me of the movie (an oldie but goodie) The Fly and when the poor hybrid man/fly is stuck in the spider web. EEEEK. That said, your card is really well done and nicely put together. You added so much interest in the elements and they work wonderfully together! I love the work you put into the spider, it's a great touch and not too scary. Thank you for taking on our Opus Gluei theme and I hope we get you back for more fun with us!
