For this week I had to choose a Panda Bear paper pack and used the paper to make my card.  Oh so many choices to choose from but in the end I opted for the Imagine pack, I had totally fallen for one of the papers in particular, wonderful warm gray and pink colours.  The digi I used for the outside of the card is one I have had for a long time from Floppy Lattes called Funky Flower, it just screamed to be decoupaged and I felt would work perfectly with the DP.  For the inside of the card I used another Floppy Latte digi, one of those that is so handy to have called You Inspire Me, I have used this digi so many times, it is going to be an all time favourite I think.

Recipe:-
  • Panda Bear paper pack Imagine
  • Digi stamps by Floppy Latte - Funky Flower and You Inspire Me
  • Card from Craft Creations
  • Die cut design which I created and cut on my Black Cat,  It was inspired by one I once saw on Crafts U Print

A Man and his Wheels!!

Just a very quick post with this card.  Got a plate full of things to do along with another post.  Grrrrr, need more hours in the day are needed :)

Recipe:-

  • Black card from Craft Creations
  • Digi -Vintage Norton by Teri of Delicious Doodles
  • Quote - Four wheels move the body.  Two wheels move the soul (unknown) - how perfect is that to go with this wonderful digi :)
  • Die cut mounts by me
  • Coloured with regular coloured pencils - wow, such a long time since I have done that, in fact all the pencils had sharp points lol.  I love the vey subtle colour of the crayons on this digi, anything stronger would somehow distract from Teri's wonderful drawing ability I think.
  • Brads, ribbon, gold pen from my stash.

Angel Baby

Just a quick post with today's card.  Beginning to get worried, two pink cards in two days although you can't see the other at the moment <g>  You will have to wait 4 weeks for that one lol.

I haven't made a baby girl card in a long time so thought for the Digi Darla Challenge of Celebrate it would be the perfect excuse to make one.  It is a bit of a heavy card with a total of 5 layers but I think it turned out rather sweet.  So here it is.  Must apologies for the photo, it is a bit squint - sorry.

Recipe:-
  • While Linen card and pink card from Craft Creations
  • Digi - Angel Baby Stars which was fuzzy cut and the head, limbs and stars also decoupaged
  • Die cuts designed by me and cut on my Black Cat
  • Ribbon from my stash

For Mum

Hello folks.  We have another challenge at One Stitch At A Time so how about popping over to see all the fabulous creations by the design team.

Challenge #161

Theme ' For Mom/Mum'

The sponsor this week StitchyBear Digital Stamps
with a prize $9 to spend in the store.  To win this prize you need to use a digi from the StitchyBear store.  You can still enter without using a StitchyBear digi and the prize for the winner is $3 to spend in the store.

I have throughly enjoyed this challenge:)  This week the image I have used is 'Sending Love', a My Heart Pieces Digital Stamp Designs Priyanka!  Isn't she just so super cute!!!

I decided on a colour scheme of purple and yellows for a change and while colouring in all I could think about was my Mum's garden back in the UK.  Mum has the most amazingly colourful garden full of roses and lilies and other showy annuals (mainly pansies) dotted around for a bit of extra OOo La La.  Both my Mum and I love our pansies.  After completing the image I decided to make the backing paper myself using yellow pansies on a purple background.  First I found a digital photo of pansies from my Mum's garden which I potted around with (sorry for the pun)  :).  Next I converted one of the pansies into a Photoshop brush which I then used to create the backing paper. Pretty pleased with the outcome I think it looks so great with the digi.  It was a bit hard getting the colours right but after several attempts I managed to match them up with the digi colours.

I don't usually decorate the inside of my cards when I make them, preferring to do this as and when needed, but this time I could not help myself, I so loved the paper and wanted to see what the card looked like with the inside done too.  I found a great quote, ''Only a mother as perfect as you, could have a daughter as perfect as me" - Bobby Pin which I think sums things up perfectly (not saying I am perfect by any means lol)

Recipe:-
  • White Linen card from Craft Creations
  • 'Sending Love', a My Heart Pieces Digital Stamp Designs Priyanka
  • Topper die cut which I made and cut on my Black Cat
  • Yellow mesh, gems, ribbon etc from my stash.  The ribbon was totally the wrong colour so I coloured it with ProMarkers <g>
  • All layers mounted with foam tape
