Sweet Pea Stamps
Hello folks, here I am again with another creation for Sweet Pea Stamps. Today I am sharing with you my DT challenge card for the May monthly Challenge - Flowers. For this card I have used the beautiful digi Rose by Rachel Anderson.
To add a bit of texture I attacked an embossing folder with a rolling pin hahahahaha. I love this as I can control where I want the embossing and by applying different amounts of pressure can also achieve and fading effect.
Here we have the card showing the embossed area.
Next back to airbrushing with Promarkers and then I heat embossed with Silver Pearl.
You can see here the lovely shimmer and texture to the doily - yummy
Now playtime is over and down to work - colour the digi. This is my Mum's Birthday card and I remember as a child (me not Mum) how much she always loved the Peace Rose so I have tried to colour the rose in so it looks like her special rose. Shame I can't capture the smell as well :) :) :) Colouring was done with Promarkers and I finished of with some Glossy Accents for the water droplets and Liquid Pearls around the edge of the digi mount.
Promarkers I used.
Next I coloured three white roses I had to also look like Peace Roses
Twiddle fingers, thinking time. I was sitting there wondering what to do next. I had my leaves ready which I had trimmed the wire stems off and had placed the leaves and flowers on the card roughly where I wanted them. Something else was needed, a bit of height (length). While pondering what I had in my stash I saw the pieces of wire I had cut off the leaves - I wonder. Taking my prodding tool I wound the wire around the end to make spiral bits. Perfect, this is just want I wanted for the bouquet.
Final bit to make, a butterfly. This was die cut using Spellbinder - Les Papillions Two. I then coloured with Promarkers and heat embossed with Silver Pearl.
and here we have the finished card with added lace, a ladybird and a wee bow :)
Thank you for stopping by :)
To begin with I designed my doily and digi mount in Illustrator then cut with my Black Cat
Next I had a ball creating my card base. First I airbrushed the card with Promarkers, then stamped the rose and embossed with both clear and pink embossing dye. To add a bit of texture I attacked an embossing folder with a rolling pin hahahahaha. I love this as I can control where I want the embossing and by applying different amounts of pressure can also achieve and fading effect.
