A Girly Card

Come and join us at I ❤️Promarkers, our challenge theme is

'A Girly Card'

Such a beautiful image to colour, all the movement lol.  I used the image Flamenco - image no 19 by SheepSki Designs.  The image was coloured with Promarkers, I then masked the image and used Black Distress Oxide and a stencil by Sheena Douglas with gold stamping ink.  The sentiment was produced digitally when I printed the SheepSki image ready for colouring.

and the sponsor for this challenge is  SheepSki Designs  with a prize of 3 digital images from the Sheepski Designs store.

Challenge #107
A card or gift for a man

This fortnights challenge 'A card or gift for a man' has been chosen by Jennie

I used a Dr. Digi image to make this card and coloured with Promarkers.  The card is for Barry who is the builder responsible for some major renovations to my Mum house which we are now turning into a holiday let.  Things started off really well but with Covid the final stages have been held up, hopefully it won't be long now till we can open the house up properly.  Just ordered a bunch of furniture which will be arriving next Sunday - so much flat pack to assemble ROFL.

    Paper Piecing

Come and join us at I ❤️Promarkers, our challenge theme is

    'Paper Piecing'

I hardly ever do paper piecing so had a lot of fun with this challenge :) The image I used from IkeArt is African Man from AFRICA - World Tour Series Set of 5.  I coloured the man with Promarkers and then cut his had and clothes to be paper pieced.  The background was created digitally and I got it from Vecteezy.  I am pretty sure this gentleman is a Nigerian, as growing up in Nigeria this was pretty much the regular clothing of the day :) :)

and the sponsor for this challenge is IKEsART with $15 prize to spend in the store

    Challenge #106
    Winged Creatures

This fortnights challenge 'Winged Creatures' has been chosen by Christine.

I just love how this chest turned out.  I found the pattern for the chest in a laser cutting site and the owl design as a free to use image.  With the tools I needed I then set to designing the box with the owls, name area and the trees behind the owls.  The design goes around the 4 sides of the box and was a devil to work out so the tree branches flowed properly.  Once designed, I etched and cut the design on my laser then wood stained the box leaving the owls and the band around the name take unstained - boy did that require a bit of a steady hand and lots of patience as the wood stain bleeds very easily through the wood grain.  After that it was onto further sanding, varnishing, sanding again, assembling and then a final coat of varnish.  This box was for my daughter Natasha for her 40th birthday, smiles all round as she just loved it :)

Anything Goes with an option of Springtime

     IKEsWORLD

    Challenge 143
Anything Goes with an option of Springtime

Welcome back to the IKEsWORLD challenges :)  do pop on over to IKEsWORLD to join in the challenge, it is always so much fun and  Ike produces the most amazing stamps, everything from off the wall to cute and fluffy :) :) :)

I thought I would give no line colouring a go digitally using Procreate and aim for a very loose watercolour effect.  Not sure I achieved any of that lol but it was a great learning exercise and super fun.  The image used is DAFFODIL FAIRY by IKEsART.
