Rock On

Hello folks.  We have another challenge at One Stitch At A Time so how about popping over to see all the fabulous creations by the design team.

Challenge #182

Theme ' Anything Goes'

Our sponsor this week is the StitchyBear Digi Outlet with a prize of the  full set of digi images used by the DT in challenge #180.. So around $20 worth. To win this you MUST use a StitchyBear digi outlet image. Runner up prize of $3 to spend at our store for 1 winner that doesn't use a StitchyBear digi outlet image.

This week I had to choose a digi from the designer Pookie for this Anything Goes Challenge.  Don't you find we never have enough cards suitable for men, or even a variety of suitable digis.  When I saw this one called Rock On it immediately jumped out and called to me (or maybe shouted lol).

I created the background in a well known art program, I then coloured the digi and superimposed this on the background.  I feel there is enough going on with the digi that little else was needed but a sentiment and a few musical notes for a bit of texture.  The sentiment text was printed and then cut using dies from Scallop X-Cut and Nellie's Multi Frame Round Doily.  Out with the trusty gold paint pen to go round the edge of the scallop section of the sentiment then assemble.  Gold bead chain and a metal musical note were added last.  The completed section was then attached to the card with foam tape.  Just of finish off I added some musical notes using a die by Die-Namics and gold mirror card.  An insert was created to match the front of the card and a single clef again in mirror card.

Ingredients:-
  • White Linen card from Craft Creations
  • Digi - Rock On by Pookie
  • Dies - Scallop X-Cut, Nellie's Multi Frame Round Doily and Die-Namics Musical Notes
  • Chain, metal embellishment and gold mirror card from my stash
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:-
