Hang In There

Hello folks.  We have another challenge at One Stitch At A Time so how about popping over to see all the fabulous creations by the design team.  The prize this month is an awesome digi pack containing several images and a paper pack too - how cool is that.

Challenge #244

Theme '4 LEGGED FRIENDS' 

To begin with for my journal page I coloured the image with Promarkers and Polychromos and also printed my text on acetate. The image is Hang in There by Digi Blessings available from the StitchyBear Digital Outlet.

I plan on die cutting a bunch of leaves so messed around with some green card and Pan Pastels to make a mottles green shaded card to work with.

 The pages of the journal were covered with some fabulous black hand made paper with gold swirl which I got ages ago and have not used in over a year :) :) Onto the black paper I used a Dreamweaver leaf stencil and the same coloured Pan Pastels.  Saying as the image is a a bush baby (I think) I wanted a night time scene so made a moon out of buttons which I will cover with gold paint later.

I didn't take a pic at the time but also added to the background was some green Glimmer Mist - looks blue but it really was green I promise you :)

 Here is the moon finished.

And here is the finished page.  The text is not very obvious, I do like things hidden away a bit so you have to look to find them, the text reads 'When life gets tough . . . Hang in there'.  The Hang in there section of the text comes with the digi and I added the start bit.  I extended the branch and added the die cut leaves out of my coloured green mottled card and also some green design paper.  Finally I added metal stars to the background.
