OSAAT - Oh Boy

Hello folks.  We have another challenge at One Stitch At A Time so how about popping over to see all the fabulous creations by the design team.

We have some changes going on with the way we run the challenge, we are now going fortnightly with a prize for the random winner and badge for the Top 3 chosen by the DT.

Challenge #223

Theme 'Anything Goes with Distressing

The sponsor is StitchyBear Digital Outlet with a 5 image November prize pack. Remember if you use one of the store items you can enter as many times as you want <g>.

For this creation I worked with the image 'Oh Boy' by My Heart Pieces available from the StitchyBear Digital Outlet.  I desperately need some mens cards so this image was just perfect and with the distressing I would thought it would work really well for the male of our species.

I coloured the image with Promarkers and then added a layer of Crackle Accents.  Not used this before and had it hiding in my craft room for quite a while.  I wish it dried instantly though as I get so impatient waiting lol.  Anyway, while it was drying it did give me a chance to get the rest of the card ready so no complaints really.  I am hoping when dry the crackle accents give a distressed look to the image.

 Promarkers used
I printed my own backing paper using txt language for the birthday rhyme ' Happy Birthday to You'. This I ended up printing three times as I also used it for the inside of the card.
Now the fun of distressing.  Using the Tim Holtz distressed I attacked the edges then airbrushed with a Black Promarker.
Next bit, On gray card I used a music embossing folder  by Embossalicious.  Next I rubbed some black ink over the top and then sanded. This is for one of the corners and in a triangular shape so I tore along one edge to roughen it up.
The other day I was looking for an idea on interactive cards.  Got to keep the men entertained lol.  I came across this brilliant idea for a business card where the body parts are attached to the card and folded behind.  Yep I love this, I will have an interactive dancing man on this card.  You will have seen I made a phone shape around the digi which I coloured in black, this will be the dancing mans body (that is the bit that is still drying).  Here I have printed, cut and coloured black the sections that are needed for the head, arms and legs which will all be attached with eyelets.
Completed front interactive dancing man :)
This is what the back looks like
And here he is dancing away at his birthday party!!!!  I used velcro to attach this guy to the front of the card so he can easily be taken off and played with and then folded up and put back when he is tired.
